Dear local news outlets,

Okay, I realize that a large portion of your reader/viewership is rabidly awaiting developments in the story of the recently-fired football coach.  It seems to me, however, that this is a bit more important.  You might at least mention it.

And to think I'll be going there to work for the next two months. I'd rather be IN the volcanoe when it erupts than outside it...that way I won't have to suffer a slow and painful death. That's the theory at least. *Curses her stupid asthma*
